How much does your bespoke tailoring cost?

Fort St George offers a comprehensive range of bespoke services. Pricing for your bespoke order will depend on several factors, all of which your client manager will discuss with you at your first appointment, including your choice of cloth, style details, finishing and customisation.

Where is your clothing made?

All FSG Bespoke garments are made inhouse, nothing is outsourced, to ensure quality and perfection. From the drafting of the pattern, cutting your cloth, basting for the first fit, multiple fittings, and final pressing, each stage is meticulously executed within our workshop.

How long does it take to make a bespoke suit?

Each bespoke commission takes over 60 hours of handwork, and requires two to three individual fittings. The delivery of your suit will depend on your availability for fittings, and could be subject to time fluctuations pending demand, however we aim to deliver your suit within 3-4 weeks from your first appointment. If fabrics need to be imported from our suppliers abroad, additional 8 to 10 working days would be required for delivery.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes, A prior appointment is required for our bespoke services, You can book an appointment on our contact us Page. Our timings are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

How many fittings will I need?

This depends on whether you're a new or existing customer and the nature of your garment. For new customers, we recommend two to three fittings before your garment is finished and handed over to you. Once you have an established pattern with us, it may be possible to place further orders without as many fittings.

Will i be allowed to get my own fabric?

No, we do not accept fabrics from outside. As a bespoke tailoring house, we are pleased to offer clients an extensive range of luxury cloths in store.

What kind of fabrics do you offer and where are they sourced from?

We offer a curated selection of premium-quality fabrics for our bespoke garments. Clients can choose from the finest wools, wool blends, cottons, and linens, sourced from some of the most reputed mills across India, as well as leading textile hubs in Europe—particularly Italy—and the United Kingdom.

Are future alterations included in the price of my bespoke suit?

We carry out repairs & alterations on Fort St George garments only. Alterations pertaining to the size, shape and design of your garment after it has left the shop may be subject to additional costs.

Will i need to pay an advance?

We require a 50% upfront payment at the time of order for the ensemble. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or card.

Can I return my bespoke garment?

Bespoke tailoring is designed to meet your every specification. For this reason we cannot accept refunds or exchange for goods or credit on bespoke garments.

How often should I dry clean my garments?

It is advisable to dry clean your wool suits twice a year, so as to not strip the fabric of its oils and lustre. Shirts and trousers should be steamed pressed. Strictly refrain from machine washing worsted wool garments.
