Started at the young age of sixteen, Jay Sangoi began working in his family’s traditional business while simultaneously completing his university education. For nearly two decades, he was deeply involved in the renowned family enterprise, MERLINS, where he immersed himself in the fundamentals of fabric, fit, and fashion—laying the foundation for a lifelong devotion to tailoring.
Since 1993, Jay Sangoi has dedicated his life to the discipline and art of bespoke tailoring. With over three decades of hands-on mastery, he founded Fort St George Bespoke with a singular vision—to create garments defined not by trend, but by precision, permanence, and personal identity.
